<p dir="auto">i picked this up thinking it'd be just another 70s bronson vigilante film cause it was directed by michael winner but it was a lot more interesting then that. more character driven then some action pieces.</p>

<p dir="auto">I can understand why you would say this, those two films are probably his best and its hard to place which is number one. But I would have to disagree with you. Death Wish was the right movie at the right time. The Mechanic is a movie that can be done again, but something like Death Wish could only be done in the 1970s in NYC. These days the whole mugging apsect is a little different and plus movies today are more careful with certain race issues.</p>
