<p dir="auto">One of my favorite moments in this film is when Reverend Scott throws a jacket over the charred corpse of a kitchen worker after Susan screams at the horrific sight of him. The man who played the dead kitchen worker is Bill French, who also worked as an extra on the TV series McHale's Navy and can be spotted as a waiter in The Towering Inferno. French's niece confirmed his identity on the Facebook fan page for The Poseidon Adventure.<br />
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.</p>

<p dir="auto">That's interesting.   I'd convinced myself it was the waiter we saw earlier in the film with Acres doing the sarcastic mocking of "Morning After" and revealing his preference for Strauss waltzes.</p>
