Hi. I own the dvds of SMDAE but before i got them i used to watch it all the time on the tv.
My favourite episode was the rollerskating one. The copy that the bbc show have frank fall and trip someone over. Then he JOINS the chain and they go round slowly gradually getting faster and faster and FASTER. When he is going extreamly fast it then cuts to the girl saying "He's going round and round etc" then he goes out the door.
Now..
On the dvd however (UK DVD) after he has tripped the guy up it cuts straight to the girl then him going out the door.
In my opinion the material that is cut was the funniest part. (HAHAHAHAHHA)
When he skates round the town it is still funny but it's not LOL funny.
Anyone else notice this? Do you feel the same as i do?

Oh, I'd beg to differ with you: I've seen it dozens of times and it gets a belly laugh from me EVERY time!

I love that scene. If it is not on your copy then you might find it on YouTube. I bought the region 2 DVD set years ago and that scene is in it. I love how many BBC comedies borrowed routines from American movies which came from old Vaudeville acts.
