<p dir="auto">Believe it or not "ronnie barker" was also considered. As good an actor as he was, I can't see him playing frank. On saying "Crawford made Frank his own". he actully coppied the way he played "Brian Runnicles" from "no sex please we're brittish". Which I think is why he did not get the part in the film. By the time the film was made frank was to well established. so they gave the part to "Ronnie Corbett".</p>
