I enjoyed this film. It moves fast and serves up plenty of carnage, amid the usual arrested development Milius trappings. The initial John "courts" Billie scenes were so over-the-top and ludicrous in their offensive machismo that I could practically smell Milius's cigar smoke in the room. And I swear I heard him chuckling. People, this is how you troll your audience.
But I absolutely
loved
Dreyfuss as Nelson psychotic belly fire and little boy lost simultaneously. I was amazed not to see a thread highlighting his performance, so I thought I'd add one.
