<p dir="auto">a few remnants of the gang lived into our lifetimes. Russell Clark was paroled in July 1968 due to terminal cancer and died the following Christmas Eve. His release was supposidly kept out of the papers to avoid a media circus,,,which no doubt would have been the case. Also Mary Kinder lived until 1981 and Baby Face Nelson's widow hung in there until 1987 or 1988.<br />
In these passings, the papers often rehashed the Dillinger gang days by retelling the whole story.<br />
Sheriff Lillian Holly (of Crown Point)outlived them all, died 1994 at age 104.</p>
