I have watched a version of this film bought in Czech which had English subtitles. There was not an option to watch it with English dubbing.

I looked for a copy of this movie last year but could not find it boy am I glad I searched again.
I wanted to make sure if you did in fact order a copy of the movie from Jeff Hogue and did receive it. If you could get back to me and let me know, that would be wonderful.
Also if you don't mind, could you tell me how much it cost and where was it shipped from.
Also, I did not quite understand whether this is a film with English subtitles or is it dubbed in English?? some of the posts said it had subtitles and then all of a sudden they were saying that it was dubbed in English. If you could clarify this, I would greatly appreciate.

The VHS version is Czech with English subtitles. I haven't watched it, but I assume that the video quality is much the same as the DVD (which is to say, reasonable).
I got my first one from CD Universe, and my second one from Barnes and Noble.

But the Czech DVD has Eneglish subtitles.

They told me that their copy was an import from Czechoslovakia (which wouldn't have English subtitles).

I'll bite - where did you order the DVD from? I've ordered from two different companies, and both times I received the VHS. It appears that Facets has screwed up with their inventory system, and the companies I order from must use machines for shipping and handling, as a real person would have been bound to notice that it wasn't DVDs they were putting in the box.
Please tell me who you ordered from, so that I can order from them too?

He told me he did own the rights, I just never got him to release it. Apparently he has the rights to a number of children's films that were shown on the CBS Children's Film Festival. He always responded to my emails, but that was over a year ago.
Got the DVD - the quality is good.

I also tried contacting Jeff Hogue (WHollisC@aol.com). A web search for his name turned up a producer of really bad b-movies like "Alienator".
However, while he may possess an English dubbed version of Three Nuts for Cinderella, it seems pretty unlikely that he owns the rights to it, as the Czech company that owns the film stated that they had sold the NorthAmerican rights (VHS and DVD) to Facets (www.facets.org).
I've ordered the Czech/EnglishSubtitles DVD from Barnes and Noble - when it arrives I'll comment on its quality. Meanwhile, see http://www.dreihaselnuessefueraschenbroedel.de/htmls_e/medien.htm for some brief DVD reviews that I've found online.
