I don't know what to say about this film. For years I had heard about it and just had a chance to see it recently. I was too young at the time the movie came out to be taken to it. The story is a tragedy no matter what angle you look at it. Also sad state of affairs when a violent movie like this that took huge liberties with the facts can rake in millions at the box office in 1973 when a beautiful musical about peace and love of a better world like LOST HORIZON is a flop.

Very underrated movie. A great cast and while parts are jazzed up for effect Hollywood always does that to true stories.

Just finished watching the movie, much better than the two stars the TV guide gave it. Now about to watch part 2.
