In the episode "Just a Matter of Time" the bad guys cause the spacecraft to land at a location of their choice, to try to steal some fuel, if I remember correctly. They're trying to convince Steve that the year is 1984, and Oscar Goldman is dead. My question is why? Why not just kill him and take the fuel? What's the point of trying to convince him that he traveled forward in time 6 years? Or if they don't want to kill him, why not capture him and lock him up in Siberia, or wherever? I don't understand what they were trying to achieve.
"My girlfriend sucked 37 d*cks!"
"In a row?"

I don't know but I think it would have been cool if Steve had actually time traveled. It would have been a brave and interesting plotline.
