And then later on, "Hi sheriff. Sorry about the up yours ******."
Brilliant.
If it was up to you, would you censor (as I had to do just now!) or remove that line from the movie?
Would you include it in a remake?

I would leave every "offensive" word in that movie. Wouldn't edit anything.

I'd leave the line, as it's hilarious. There's nothing at all wrong with this movie. No reason to remove any dialogue for any reason.
Don't give up the fight for truly independent cinema!

Facepalm.
That particular line is critical to the entire premise of the black bart character and making it known satirically that even the gentle old ladies in town were raging racists. Clevon Little found it crucial to his role.
Leave it out or censor it? There's simply no way to do either.

Yep. 0bama and the liberal-stream media have changed the narrative from being one of gaining equality to that of only liberal blacks are worth anything and that blacks are always the victim.
Think of how any and all black Conservatives are treated. Herman Cain, Dr. Ben Carson et al are referred to as "Uncle Tom's."
And look at how they try to make it sound like "unarmed" means "innocent and without the ability to cause harm." They'll even go so far as to make up a race to cover their azzes when they automatically assume it was 'white vs. black', as in, before George Zimmerman, the term "white Latino" didn't exist. And, if it did, then it was used an exceedingly rare amount of times.

It sickened me when that discussion about race cropped up at the end of CRIMSON TIDE. It felt like a sucker punch.
But today, in 2016, things are even worse. People (particularly people under 40) are utterly obsessed with race now. There is more race-consciousness now than at any point in my lifetime.

I always go with context not the word(s) or action(s).
As in, it fit perfectly so why remove it. On the other hand, in the movie Crimson Tide, there was absolutely no f(cking reason for them to have a discussion about the color of the horses.
