Soooo unintentionally funny. I don't know where to begin. But I'll try -
Cory's ride to school on his bike. It was an obstacle ride in hazardville!
Lets all hop into the elevator during an earthquake. What could go wrong?!?
What was with the gay Marjoe Gorter (Sp?) gay army reserve wig wearing thing?
Pantyhose used for emergency evacuation purposes, lol.
The guy on his deck on his house, on stilts, eating a chicken drumstick and drinking a beer without a care in the world during the quake!
Ava Gardner was sure a bitch!
The movie was like a 70's exploitation disaster film.

You forgot the guy who runs into his gas-filled house with a lit cigarette in his mouth. That scene made me bust a gut from laughing so hard!
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

You can easily understand how the Zucker/Abrahams boys' eyes lit up after they saw this masterwork.

I don't think it would have been overly difficult to have made this into a full on comedy. It was already halfway there with all the unintentional comedy it already sports! Hell, it probably would have been an even better movie done with a laugh track in many of the spots and some reworked writing. Airplane came to mid when I last watched this. Oh well, it's still got plenty of good laughs to be had and the best ones are the unintentional ones!
