I can't answer your question but man, was that a god awful episode! It says in the DVD that it was meant to be a backdoor pilot for a new series about Ranji and the two other guys. Teen detectives or something. I totally understand why it never got further than Isis.

Ranji played "Ranji". Look carefully in Now You See IT, and you'll note the emblem on the side of the white van. Then, look even more carefully at him desceding the stairs as he lip syncs to his own song, "Magic in the Air". If you pause your machine at the perfect frame, you'll clearly see his Magic Show emblem again, this time in a larger more festive font. Follow the directions on that emblem (or sign) and you'll know where Ranji or "Ranji" was in summer of '79 - winter '81. In the late winter of '81 he clearly had to move. This is not indicated by either emblem in the afore-discussed episode, Now You See It, but it is telegraphed to some extent in the follow-up, Now You Don't. Anyway, in early spring '82, Ranji moved east to West Virginia, still entertaining all who he came to know through his condenser microphone - which frustratingly, is not included in the filming during ISIS. In the studio, Rangi, and the young actress improvising harmony clearly used a ribbon microphone - more common in small studios for VO (looping) work such as Filmation during that year. Remember, these are the final episiodes so this would be summer '76.
