Nobody brought this up, but one of the last episodes they did was directed by Paul Benedict, who played Mr. Bentley. It is the one where Louise does oil paintings. He didn't appear in the episode, of course. When I saw his name as the director when I was younger, I couldn't believe it! I tried to picture him directing and wondered what the cast felt about him doing that. By the way, Paul went on to direct many stage plays.

I didn't think the painting was that bad either, in fact, I think it was a hell of a lot better than most of the crap that's passed of as "works of art" that's sold for ridiculous amounts of money. I think they probably should have never actually reveal the painting on camera and just kept the image to the imagination. I think the story line would have gotten more miles that way

He also rehearses the actors and blocks the scenes.

Had the painting been done by a profeasional artist, I would have thought "wtf??"
But considerint it was Louise's, not a bad effort.

Yeah, the oil painting was called Wild Mustangs at Play, so there were several horses in there. No one liked it (although I didn't think it looked too bad when it was finally revealed to us) and only Florence was honest enough to say it wasn't good.

Was that the one where Louise paints a picture of a horse that no one liked and everyone was afraid to tell her that the painting was horrible except Florence?
