Gorgeous. Candlelit faces. Ruffled and powdered everything. It's a motion-painting. It doesn't hurt that the story delivers. I love this tale of Redmond sleazing his way across Europe, the rise and fall of a handsome buffoon. Suspensful, tragic, devilishly funny. This is one of my favorite films.
Mightn't I be allowed to keep my horse?
