Given the propensity for remake threads, & irrespective of how ghastly a thought a remake is, let's go the whole hog & really ruin things with a musical.
Chrissie, post attack & just before death, could perform 'I Left My Heart (Lungs & Kidneys) in Martha's Vineyard'.
Mayor Vaughan could then pop up with When Things Go Wrong, by Buster Brown.
Jesus & Mary Chain's 'Amputation' could be whistled by the estuary victim.
On & off throughout the 2nd half, Quint, with unwitting foresight, could be humming / singing Half the Man I Used To Be.
Roll Out the Barrel could be incorporated into the JW score
Brody could sing Tanks for the Memory, recalling Hooper's warning as the shark bursts through the boat's window.
Any other ideas?

It's a hideous thought, but perhaps Quint would have surprised us with a mellifluous & honey-toned baritone voice to compliment Hooper's impeccable countertenor.
Following the horror of Brody's nasty, dock-side serenade, perhaps there'd be room for the estuary victim to launch into Andy Fairweather-Low's 'Wide-Eyed & Legless'I guess it would be a little unsubtlemaybe Bob Dylan's 'Blood in my Thighs' would be better

As Mrs Kintner turns away, Chief Brody grabs her by the arm and sings
