<p dir="auto">I could swear I remember a then little known Tyne Daly in an episode of this show playing a girl  who son Willie was involved with. I think her character had some terminal disease. Does anyone out there remember this?<br />

<p dir="auto">That wasn't Tyne Daly.  Brooke Adams played the role of Willy Lawrence's doomed love.  She had been accidentally exposed to radiation and was dying.</p>
