Wonder Woman sometimes used a specialized costume. One was a waterproof, swimming, blue hooded bodysuit. Does anyone know just what kind of material was it made from?

I think it was more of a case of protecting Jeannie Epper, the stunt double, and other stunt artists for those scenes. In the documentary, Double Dare, Epper jokes about the lack of protective gear when doing Wonder Woman stunts, saying, "We had nylons." The costume didn't allow any place to hide pads and Epper even had to get them to compromise and add flesh-colored straps to the top, after she flashed the crew after landing, during a stunt. The documentary opens with a shot of her prepping, then performing a stunt where she jumps through a skylight, into a room below. It may be sugar-glass, but there were shards, wood pieces and other dangers and she has no knee or elbow pads; just the costume and a crash pad at the bottom.

In story, there was no point. You're right: Wonder Woman should be able to outrun a motorcycle. Out of story, however, Lynda Carter can't, and I guess they had no way of simulating her "outrunning" a moving vehicle (I don't remember if Steve Austin or Jamie Sommers ever did, either).

Question about the suit used to ride the motorbike. What was the point in it? She is Wonder Woman. Isn't she supposed to be able to run fast and catch up with whoever she is chasing? Why would she need to hop on a motorbike?

Based on the picture links, it looks like neoprene, which is used to make wetsuits. The hood looks more like nylon, but the bodysuit looks like neoprene. It could also be padded nylon, like a bathing suit, but it looks more like neprene, to me.

Her facial expression in the first diving suit (and the artistic take revamp) make me wonder if she wanted to be in that photo or even wear the suit - it does leave little to the imagination, and being in the late-1970s where all the networks wanted "jiggle factor" isn't it true that Pam Dawber refused to wear revealing outfits or jiggle for "Mork and Mindy" (and rightly so, it was exploitative)?

I used to have a photo of her in that particular suit. It was featured in this book:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/starlog-photo-guidebook-TV-EPISODE-GUIDES-VO LUME-1-printed-1981-new-york-/160960754072?nma=true&si=yBV%252FNXk qTWo3cOd8XYNCOwN0MBQ%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p20 47675.l2557
I did some downsizing last summer and most of my old books were donated (including this one). Linda did look great in the suit. Isn't it amazing that back in the 70's her figure was considered "average", but by today's standards she would be considered overweight?
Cheers!

Yes, male fans all knew that was Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman's best-looking super heroine costume. It's too bad there were no poster photos taken of it. And unfortunately as far as I know there were no still photos taken of her wearing the suit also. Lynda Carter demonstrated that she was fully all-woman when she wore it.
