Every dvd copy released over the past 15 years has been utter trash quality.Surely this film gets aired on network or cable channels and i'm betting their copy of the film is 100 times better than what we got on dvd over and over again.I remember in the 80's and 90's even HBO aired it quite a few times and their air copy was pristine quality.

There IS a very good version of the film that just came out, it has the banner CHOICE COLLECTION from Sony pictures on the top of the artwork. it costs a little more right now, but the quality is worth it!!!
I had given up hope until I saw the review for it on DVD talk It looks really good, many times better than the public domain transfers that has been sold before now
