It's just weird to me not only that she was late getting it. Okay there are late bloomers but the fact that she didn't even know what it was even with her mom not teaching her and no sex Ed it's hard to believe she wouldn't have somehow learned about it. Like seeing pads or tampons in a store, overhearing other girls talk about it, etc. I know she didn't really have any friends but it's not like she has been locked in a basement her whole life.
The whole thing was just so ridiculous and unlikely to happen it makes me kind of go well that would be pretty crazy to witness at school and almost understand why the bullies were so amused and immature about it.
