I'm quite late on this one.
Call me weird if you like but, even though I'm a guy,
my overall favorite is the R & B / rock flavored ,
"Sufferin' 'Til Sufferage" about how women won the right to vote in 1920.
It was sung by Lynn Ahrens at her best and her delivery
rivals the vocal abilities of Patti LaBelle or Aretha Franklin.
The music is as good as any pop Top 40 song of that decade for that matter.
Here's what I feel are the best,
the rankings would not be that far apart points-wise :

My favorite was always the Noun song ("You know they're nounsI find it quite interesting, a noun's a person, place, or thing, yeah nouns are a person, place, or thing". It had really nice chirpy melody and loved the bit about putting a nickel in the drug store record machine (!) and the name drops of The Beatles and Chubby Checker (obviously the song was not written by the youngest of songwriters for the mid '70's but I can still see that little girl grooving to the jukebox in the cartoon after almost 40 years.)
I also love "Interjections" - for Excitement! For Emotions!
