I want to spread awareness about a really exciting project I've come across. Director Vitaly Sumin is aiming to adapt the works of Dostoevsky in modern day L.A. A behind the scenes documentary of the making of 'Notes from the New World', an adaptation of Dostoevsky's 'Notes from the Underground' is currently in post-production.
Interesting project! I love Dostoevsky's novels (in translation) and although it seems as if they would be difficult to translate to film, I'd like to check these out.
On a similar topic, what did you think of The Double (the one with Jesse Eisenberg and Mia Wasikowska) as an adaptation of Dostoevsky's fiction?
Tell me the truth. Are we still in the game?
