She did the best with what she had, which wasn't much. She did look good though, and thankfully it didn't kill her career because she became a fine actress.

Jessica Lange brought a sweet naive charm to her character in the 1976 King Kong remake.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

It was all about King Kong as a creature for me when I first saw this as a kid and not the actors.
The film was well made for its time and while not so scary like I thought it would be, with the benefit of hindsight, one can see how well cast and played Dwan's role was by Lange. She was an excellent choice.
