I was happy when they released a new 4K 40th Anniversary version and briefly had it in theatres. But I was assumed that they would release it in the US on Blue Ray.
Unfortunately, it look like Studio Canal is only releasing this new version in Europe.

Does anybody have any idea if they're going to release it in the US? I would love to add this to my collection.

I'm from Canada and I was able to find the 40th edition no problem.
