The Cheap Detective, with Peter Falk. He plays the same character, I think, that he plays in Murder by Death. Bevy of stars. Not as good as MBD, but a fun film.

I just watched "House On Haunted Hill" (1959). It reminded me of "Murder by Death" a bit. A bunch of strangers being invited to a dinner party at a house by a mysterious rich man, locked in the house, scary butler and maid, people dying. There's twists about who's doing what. Even some of the camera angles were similar.
"Do you feel fortuitous? Well, do you? Hooligan?"

The Mirror Crack'd (1980)
Murder by Death.
Happily, I watched Murder by Death tonight as well, so the discovery was quite fun.

Murder Can Hurt You (1980) is basically a tv version of this movie, where tv detectives join together to stop a bad guy. Don Adams is the narrator.
I saw Murder Can Hurt You before I saw Murder By Death.
And again, just the same, the characters have parodied names of the detectives they are spoofing, but the cast were stellar.
Jamie Farr and John Bynar were Studsky and Hatchington.
Connie Stevens was Salty Sanderson (Angie Dickenson's Police Woman).
Tony Danza was Lambretta (Baretta).
Burt Young is entertaining as Palumbo (Columbo) but the two funniest ones are Gavin MacLeod as Nojack (Kojak) and undeniably, Victor Buono as Ironbottom.
Buck Owens is also present as MacSkye (McCloud).
About half the detectives are offed which is amusing as Studsky (Jamie Farr) refuses to accept Hatchington is missing and keeps talking to him.
Bynar (Hatchington) is left floating around on a balloon and is a running joke throughout the movie.
Nojack (MacLeod) learns he is next to be killed and replaces his picture with one of Marty Allen, who is his brother.
But the Buono jokes, you got to see to believe. They are escaping between buildings on a ladder placed between the buildings and Ironbottom is sent rolling across and doesn't quite make it.
He is strapped in his chair on top of a Volkswagen while they are driving down the road. Buono is trying to talk to those in the car and keeps gagging and spitting out bugs.
They have to pick up Ironbottom in his wheelchair (possibly to put him on the car) and Farr says 'Hatch and I will pick him up. Get the other side, Hatch!' and of course, Bynar isn't there, so Farr flips the wheelchair over.
One memorable bit with Liz Torres as Mrs. Palumbo trying to find her husband's life insurance policy when he is believed dead.
It is really just like this one, Murder By Death, but good luck ever finding it.

Not sure what you mean by "like this" as in murder mystery or an all star cast. ShadowsGathered names about the only other film with both categories filled. In a sense you could also go with "The Cheap Detective" which was also written by Neil Simon.
