I think it might be simpler if you ACTUALLY stated what you mean by THIN WAY.

For those that don't know, you'd yank the tie so hard the knot ends up the size of a peanut, I kid you not this was a real bugger to get undone. I learned the hard way.
Wore the tie thin every day after that lol

I think I varied it between long and short too - I prefferd it about 2cm most though. Though I often got told off for it LOL!

Sorry I was unsure what you mean by the "playing snooker option"!!!?

Definitely thin, but varied between long and short.
I actually forgot the rarely seen 'tucked into your shirt like your are playing snooker' option.
