I believe I'm only PC as it pertains to the (Overt?) jokes on Gays, as them being weak, for our prison culture alone proves otherwise:) (see there's jokes on them I still think are funny about them).
And I guess jokes about obesity. The "Fat" jokes on ReRun on "What's Happening" aren't funny to me anymore, unless it's the one's coming from Dee (the young girl). And I know it's because how she delivers them, all her cracks on people are still funny.
But to me "The Jeffersons"'s (I'm black BTW:)) aren't funny to me anymore, though "Sanford and Son"'s are, all of them, except the one's about Latinos. I don't know why though???
All in the Family jokes are still (as) funny to me and I guess because "Married With Children" Al's is a Poor Man's Archie Bunker and I loved MWC.
Hey but I have to finish my degree (more than 170 Credits, only my AA) and you've given me a great idea for a thesis, PC as it pertains to entertainment, why some jokes are still funny, others aren't or something like that?

It's amazing how the with time, past comedy is so uncool that it isn't allowed to be produced! Reminds me of when I was a kid and they cut
"Amos and Andy!"
It was thought bigoted and in bad taste! The same can be said about a lot of Norman Lear's productions like
"All IN The Family"
or
"The Jeffersons!"
They're still funny, but it can't be produced these days! It's just too offensive in today's culture!

You can't replace: Bert, Chuck and Bob, Jessica, Benson, or the Major.
Not to mention the Black and Gay jokes won't be as funny. I watch the reruns and I own the DVDs on Soap, big fan of the show.
It would be like trying to remake: Blazin Saddles, Animal House, or the Airplane Movies,you won't be able to capture "It" in this day and time.

Chuck and (Really) Bob are hilarious, so is Jessica,brilliant show.

But they would need this writer. It holds up beautifully. Sudan Harris, are you hearing this?
