I've seen a few comments by people who said this movie was a book first. After watching it, I would really like to find and read it but I can't pull up any info on it being a book. Can someone tell me the title and the author?

i too stumbled upon several posts that said this was a book
so i did some digging around and found that there is a book that was written AFTER the
movie came out.

Keep in mind there is a book called Communion that is about alien abduction. It has nothing to do with this movie. That book was made into a movie starring Christoper Walken calledCommunion. Not too confusing eh?
