My rating for this movie was close to your 5/10.
I really wanted to rate it higher but could not bring myself to do it, because the editing was so poorly done,& that it sort of ruined parts of the movie.
The 12 year old ALICE sure did sound like a "woman", even though her body and face looked like that of a 13 year old! (That was creepy in itself). But then I just found out that the actress was actually 20 when she played in this movie! Wonder why they couldn't find a little girl actress to play Alice that was younger than 20? Still, the Alice actress was good, aside from her voice.
Also, the old lady (Angela) was really a scary person and I did enjoy her acting. She came off as a deranged psycho for sure.
The setting was really fun to see and I got a kick out of the 1970s "decour" with the really colorful wallpapers, old tiles, etc.
Also,I really wish that Brooke Shields had been in this movie for a longer period (or maybe came back in some "flashback scenes").
