<p dir="auto">I found it hilarious when Liza impersonates Peggy Lee and Jill Stafford in New York, New York when Francine sings in the studio. I think this may be part of the extra footage on the dvd that was cut from the film. She sounds just like Peggy Lee!!!!<br />
I also enjoyed it when Francine plays a sexy Marilyn Monroe character in the "Happy endings" bit. Its when shes dancing in a red sequined dress. Shes really very talented!</p>

<p dir="auto">I've just written something about this on another thread on here. Liza Minnelli does do a very good Peggy Lee impersonation indeed. Unfortunately Peggy hadn't developed that deeply breathy style of vocal delivery in the 1940s. Francine was singing the mature Peggy Lee of the 1950s nearly a decade before Peggy had developed that style herself.</p>
