For many people,
Orca
is just a mediocre ripoff of
Jaws
but I've always enjoyed the film. It has some solid acting in it and the effects are believable. But I think the film's true strongpoint is the amazing score by Ennio Morricone. It's very moving and you can really feel the tragedy that the orca has endured.

I saw Orca in the theaters back in 1977 and THE two things that impressed me were the cinematography and the beautiful score. They both helped to create the tone of the film which is tragedy for the whale and the people.

If there's anything that the film gets right - it's the music and the cinematography. I first saw
Orca
when I was 6 years old and today the music still gets to me. The main theme is so hauntingly beautiful.
