It seems that the subplots involving wanting to a buy car and looking, but not buying, and beating up the Hispanics for payback, and the gf accidentally getting pregnant, didn't really go anywhere. The brother priest subplot didn't seem to have a pay off either much

As for the gf getting knocked up, that led to Bobby's troubles and prob. why he decided to fool around on the bridge that led to him falling off of it half accidental half suicide.
And why did we have Annette getting raped?
