Urban Cowboy is the easier watch, but SNF is the better film.
I've been searching for the daughter of the Devil himself, I've been searching for an angel in white.

Fever is the film. Urban Cowboy was nice, but Fever is the film.

I find rape scenes in movies hard to watch.
You can come back with, "This is worse," but that is not going to change my mind.
Yeah, sure, SNF has great dancing and fun music but that is all I like it for.
For me to like a movie it has to have more than that.
I find the story and drama with UC, along with the music and dancing, to be more appealing and interesting than a bunch of street thugs and **** who go to the disco each week.
You need to start recognizing that everyone has their own individual feelings, thoughts, opinions etc on things and be OK with that instead of acting like only your words and thoughts matter over everyone else.
To each our own, ya know?
Lighten up big time and stop being so uptight, arrogant and stubborn.

Yea, and I cant disagree with you there.
I actually 100% agree and also find it disturbing. So disturbing that I actually have to look away and I just watched it again.
But it is also more real.
and Urban doesnt also come without disturbing scenes. He goes to the bar and has a threesome and than I just read on the boards the other day that his buddy was probably paying for these two whores which I never got. There is theft, women beating, slutting, almost suicide, Im not saying it's more disturbing but it's definitely not a clean film.
The thing that I'm referring is also the overall film and the cultural impact in has had in the film industry and in life really. It made a huge boom into disco which was a lot a lot bigger than than Cowboy bars, World Wide, Dancing, music, fashion. It's definitely a major major film.

Yes but I find it more disturbing with the rape scene and sorta with Bobby falling off the bridge.

"Are you a big Travolta Fan? Have you seen most of his movies?"
Not exactly a fan but I have enjoyed him in some things I have seen.
Even before movies when he was on Kotter he was a fun character of Vinnie Barbarino.

No that's a fact.
Name me to bigger than films than that?
Um, though they appear that way, they werent really popcorn films in any regard. They are just hyped up that way. and it took a lot of dedication and art work to make them so good. You think they just came up with dance routines like that? Or fashion? or the right moves? For godsake Travolta and Newton John were signing and those songs have become a world wide historical classics. After that they both became singers with Newton John becoming a Major world Pop artist. It's ludicrous wat your saying.
Though Travolta was Pop in Grease he was also the main attraction and the biggest reason in the film from a huge cast of all-stars and he carried the film. There is no reason other than to give him all the prize.
You gotta do your research. There is a lot more than that and many that I actually admired and am disappointed in.
I take it back. I didnt know he did get nominated for Saturday( which is a huge surprise) shouldve won but also for pulp which is overrated if you ask me. He has a lot better stuff out there. Tom has never won an Oscar which is disappointingly because he has many great performances worthy of it.
No, I dont think Travolta has ever been in movies that has won Oscars though as I said, Travolta is better than Cruise in my Book.

I just don't think they were Oscar quality worthy.
Too much like popcorn flicks then the hoity toity movies that win.
SNF was Oscar worthy as a best picture contender in many respects. That aspect must have gone right over your head which is typical, unless you have only see the pg version.
Norman! What did you put in my tea?

"Are two of one of the greatest films ever made and definitely the best in that year and that decade. There is no reason why these big time films didnt get all the awards. These films are millions better than any crap today."
That is your opinion and there is nothing wrong with that.
I will allow it.
I just don't think they were Oscar quality worthy.
"I'm sure some of have won…"
There are not any other celebs in Scumtology as big as Travolta and Cruise that I am aware of.
"….Tom Cruise who isnt as good or iconic was at least nominated and has won awards."
He has not won the big one. The Oscar.
Now he has been in at least one movie that did win a couple of those awards, Rain Man.
Has Travolta ever been in a movie that won Oscars?
Most of his movies are just too schlocky.
