Crichton directed three tremendous movies back in the 1970s: WESTWORLD, COMA and THE GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY.
He also wrote the screenplays for all three of them.
What an amazing talent. Between his (better) film output and all his work as a novelist, I think it's safe to regard Crichton as one of the finest pure storytellers of the 20th century.
