This to me is why this movie is so amazing and also my favorite horror movie of all time.
Loomis says something like " I watched him for fifteen years, sitting in a room, staring at a wall, not seeing the wall, looking past the wall - looking at this night, inhumanly patient, waiting for some secret, silent alarm to trigger him off."
That is the key to this whole movie.
Whatever evil that is driving Michael Myers has made him see the future.
I'm not saying that Michael is a psychic but everything has lead to this particular night.
Almost like he knows where to be and why.
The best example is when Laurie walks across the street to see Annie and Lynda. Notice she walks in the back by the kitchen. Michael then puts a rake to block the door. ( How did he know she would try to escape that way? ) Laurie walks into the room and there is Annie with the tombstone. Laurie then backs up and finds Lynda and Bob. ( This played out that Michael knew what would happen )
This is why this movie is so great. Only one thing bothers me everytime I watch this movie. Check out the door knob on the door when Tommy opens the door for Laurie. It's on the wrong side!!
Any thoughts?

That was in response to someone else
I don't give a toss who it was in response to. You asked me to point out where you called anyone a loser AND I DID.
So it's actually you who
loses
on this occassion.
You have essentially labelled a group of people "losers" because they may choose to post about a 40 year old movie at greater length than you.
And there was an Lol, which means joke
Does this then mean if someone called you a "simpleton" and added "lol" you wouldn't mind?
I don't use "lol"s or most other internet lingo and abbreviations myself..but I understand lol means
laugh out loud.
This to me means you called people "losers" and then laughed out loud. That only adds to the mockery you aim at them.
Lol means your laughing moreover than joking. I find the two quite distinct from each other.
But of course as Barney pointed out, it's all perfectly fine so long as you're the one hurling the names and not on the receiving end.
And Darkness and Decay and the Red Death held illimitable dominion over all.

Yeah,
losers
. Lol. If all you have is to dissect 40 year old movies, you need to get a life.
Nobody said it was the same as calling someone a simpleton - which no one called you anyway.
But above you insult a whole group of people because of their posting habits.
People who don't circle the same cluster of boards on a 24 hr cycle adding 2 line posts to scores of threads out of some pathological obsession.
And Darkness and Decay and the Red Death held illimitable dominion over all.

In a movie that doesn't do much in the "movie magic" department and tries to keep it realistic as possible, except the whole Halloween street thing, the rake is the toughest to get around.
