My most favorite scene of the whole movie is when Laurie finds out all of her friends are dead, she runs out of the room crying, and in the dark background we see Michael Myers slowly appearing from the shadows. I don't know why, I just love that scene. What about you guys?

Same for me, Nate.
If I had to pick a second favorite, it would be when Michael's parents come home and the camera pulls back from the blank-faced little boy holding a butcher knife.

Widescreen and was probably one of the versions that took out Cundey's now famous blue lighting. The 35th anniversary Blu Ray finally got the aspect ratio right and Dean's restored lighting.

The part where his face suddenly appears in the darkness.
That part wasn't seen in the corner of the previous full framed vhs tapes - I've noticed it years later when I bought my first Halloween dvd, I never understood why the music started early & nothing was happening until I saw it in a widescreen format That was a brilliant cinematography work by Dean himself
It's my favorite scene & including when Myers is standing upstair while Laurie is talking to the kids outside the roomGives me the chills..

The scene at the hedge, where Laurie saw Michael Myers there a minute ago, but when she reaches there seeing it empty, and Annie saying, "Poor Laurie, scared off another one". I love that scene.

The ending scene.
Myers sprawled on the lawn one sec and gone in the next. Cue Loomis face, Laurie crying and then the shots of the house, myers house, etc.
Still scares me to this day, greatest ending to a horror movie ever.
