It's just funny to me. It looks funny the way they're just wandering about in the storm at night. I don't know, maybe it reminds me of something funny I saw before and can't remember.

Lol, I would too for sure if it were a real life situation. But it looks hilarious to me every time I watch this movie.

Not silly, it's creepy. Mental patients wander in the rain in nothing but hospital gowns. I'd get the heck out of there.

This will sound silly but the scene where Dr Loomis and the nurse are driving to the hospital to pick up Michael and they suddenly see patients outside The sight of them lolling about at night in the rain wearing only their gowns cracks me up every time!

They did that with the Shape putting Lester down, I believe. Maybe even slow motion, or in reverse.

Laurie's voice drops down while the wind plays with her a bit before she replies "I don't think so." There was something so instinctively reflexive about her answer because it was based on fear (both real and imagined).
Oh yes! Laurie is the only one who knows something strange is going on that day with the appearance of Michael near her classroom and now this car screeching to a hault after Annie yells out at him. The other girls are clueless, but Laurie suspects this person is dangerous and it adds to her paranoia and tension all the way up until she sees Michael in Mr. Riddle's back yard. I love that moment, too. Michael is just chillin waiting for her to look out the window. Same with him standing behind the bushes.
I always loved when one of Tommy's tormenters literally runs into Michael after he trips Tommy. Just the sudden shock of bumping into him and Michael touching his arms with the theme playing.
One of the more amusing scenes is when Loomis tells the kids to "get your ass away from there" at the Myers house. He actually relaxes for a bit.
I also like the scene where Laurie and Annie are talking about going to the dance while driving to the Doyle's house. I love the way it was filmed with the camera in the back seat. You don't see that POV as often. The sun is setting and the light is shining through the windshield.
My least favorite scene is when Michael kills the family dog. Not cool.

Besides the opening credits, which lock me in nicely, & the end breathing montage, I have to go with Laurie's run back to the house to escape Michael. Excellent music, thrills, & has truly become an iconic sequence.
The neighbours turning their lights off on her is a great moment within that. Places you in her shoes nicely.

Another one of my favorites is when Michael walks up behind the tree when the Wallace's are leaving.

The scene after Curtis walks out of the closet and hangs on to the door frame, mean while Myers suddenly sits up right and looks over at Curtis, fantastic scene. I also like the scene after Loomis shoots Myers, he just stands there grunting before being dispatched (or so we thought) over the balcony.
It's all a deep end.
