It was interesting to see both Bert Convy and Lotte Lenya in this movie, since they had appeared together eleven years previously in the original Broadway production of
Cabaret
. I thought it might have been due to David Merrick being the producer of
Semi-Tough
, but it was actually Harold Prince who produced
Cabaret
on Broadway.
