"Semi-Tough" was published in 1972, and Eli Manning wasn't even born until 1981.<br />
If Dan Jenkins had any "Manning" in mind at all when he wrote the book, it was probably Eli's father, Archie  then the quarterback of the New Orleans Saints.</p>
