SPOILER ALERT*********
This movie would have been far better if they made the kills a little more believable. I'm not talking about when they are actually being stabbed or whatever, but just the entire set up. The victims just sit there or one chick just runs in the room and jumps on the bed . . ? I was really puzzled by this anda kept thinking for budget reasons they couldn't tear up the real aparments they were in . . . I mean there has to be some reason like that as to why this happens repeatedly through this movie. There is no way that was just some director's logic on how those scenes should actually be played. One chick brings in her groceries, drops the bag in the hall, goes inside the apartment to undress and gets all skimpy, then heads back into the hall to get her groceries . . . The killer walks up and she just sits there looking up at him??? I don't get it because you can play stuff like that quickly as though there was no time to react before they were stabbed, but this just doesn't work. Also, none of them scream or anything even though they are in a complex full of people and the one that does make some noise nobody supposedly hears this guy drilling through the walls and her. One chick is so busy getting herself off in the bathtub that she doesn't even notice he cranked up her music!
Anybody know much about the shooting of this and if that has ever been brought up? Working around problems such as a real apartment that you can't mess up can be done better without it looking like crap acting or directing.

I agree the women being killed were pretty pathetic; it was annoying with the one when she started running from the killer she would stop every step too look back if the killer was still chasing her. She deserved to die for that reason.

The first victim didn't even lock the door when she hid in the bathroom opting just to stand against it. When he drills a hole in the door she pretty much opens the door for him.

Not completely true.. most of them don't fight back, but they do do their fair share of screaming and throwing bottles/vases at the killer, both in the first murder scene and in the bathtub bedroom murder scene.
I do agree somewhat that they appear quite helpless, but some of them do make some attempts. He was quite a big guy for any of those women to try and fight off though.
I'm going to invent a new topping for pizza. Wish me luck.
