My kids are 6 now and I've decided to refresh them on stuff I loved as a kid, so I thought I'd find some YCDT I couldn't really remember a TON about it, but I was sure I liked it.
I loaded this up and I swear EVERYTHING came rushing back. Barth! Christine! The Slime! FRICK.
I cannot wait to share this with my kids. I don't remember if I was 6 when I watched it, or if I watched the old shows as re-runs when I was older but regardless, everything just came rushing back as such fond, fond warm memories. I cannot wait to share this with them.
I honestly didn't think it would stand up, but it REALLY does.
I compare this to All That and, no offense to the team that created All That, but there is no comparison. None at all, YCDT is infinitely better. I had to cringe watching All That, but I actually ENJOYED re-watching YCDT honestly, I think I may watch quite a few all on my own
Ack! Right! The lockers!!
And being Canadian Now, living in Canada (and living here for the last 14 years) it's funny hearing the local accents.
okay, I have no real point to any of this, but I'm just so freaking happy to have this again. Warming the cockles of my heart.
I know this has been a weird, all over the place post.. and I don't often post on IMDB, but I had to here This show was just too darn good. I'll take it over SNL any day.
These actors, KIDS, were simply stellar. How the heck did they get such amazing performances out of them? Especially in comparison to, like I was saying, All That. They were believable, endearing, often bratty, but just amazing
Sigh. Okay, off to go bask in some more nostalgia

I know this late reply but maybe you'll see it. I bought this on DVD years ago from ioffer. I honestly didn't know it was bootleg. I was ignorant. But my kids loved the show as much as I did. Plus like you it all came rushing back. I could remember lines from skits, punch lines and more.
