It never occurred to me until this movie that I've never heard of adults drinking breast milk. But why is this not done? There are a lot of strange novelty food items out there in the world, but breast milk is not one of them. How come?

It's not done because:

majority of humans become lactose intolerant after a certain age. Caucasians otoh (Europeans, Middle Easterners, North Africans, and Southern Asians) developed a mutation to break down milk in adulthood due to the reliance and domestication of cattle. That's why most non Caucasoid cuisines have little to no dairy in them

Women stop producing the mild soon after the kid stops drinking it. The kid stops drinking it because of no. 1 and because new food sources are introduced which makes him less reliant on breast milk.

The early weaning of kids from breast milk prevents sibling rivalry and for women to have more children to care for.
Global Warming, it's a personal decision innit?

So healthy that there's a select few bars in Tokyo where it's on the order. For a little extra you can even be breastfed (no, I'm not kidding).

I'm sure human milk is far more suitable for humans. Ironically, cows milk is for cows! it's intended to make a little calf into a huge bull in as quick a time as possible (a couple of years).

In some countries/cultures some kids (mostly boys) get breast fed till they reach puberty (12yo etc). Usually occurs when the mother has a few kids over a long period of time (10+ years).
I know it sounds weird or sick, but it's true. I guess this why some guys love boobs and others don't.
Also happens in the animal world when an older sibling bullies it's brother or sister to get at mum's tit to hog the milk.

Yes you can drink it and it is perfectly fine for you. It's best to drink it straight from the source, however there is a market that sells beast milkusually it is sold to mom's that can't produce their own to give to their babies though.
