<p dir="auto">Five minutes into this film and I was doubled over laughing.  The music, the actingthis movie didn't hold up at ALL over the years.  Angie Dickinson was great in her role, as was Michael Caine.  Nancy's acting was laughable (like she was reading off a page the whole time), as were all the other actors'.<br />
Not sure why it's considered a classic, other than it had a psycho pre-op transsexual running around (1980 shock for you).  Other than that B-movie shock value, it was just baaaad.</p>

<p dir="auto">I think DePalma MEANT for it to be "stylized", which can make it appear over the top. DePalma LOVES "over-the-topness".</p>
