The great thing about these classically trained British thespians is that they play even the most pulpy and/or silly material with utmost sincerity and conviction.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

I'm glad I've been able to see these guys on stage, like I saw Veers as King Lear at the Globe and saw Piett at the Young Vic.

Piett happens to be good in Return of the Jedi as well, I only wish they had shown more of him during the Battle of Endor.

I always liked Piett, especially his "That's it, I'm screwed" face in the very end when he thinks Vader will choke him as well.

The guy who played Piett ought to give classes in acting schools, teaching how to make bit parts into scene-stealing marvelousness that is remembered decades later.
