<p dir="auto">Yes, after they transferred him into the  carbonite,they checked his vitals to make sure it didn't kill him.</p>

<p dir="auto">It makes sense to transport a Jedi in carbonite or some other form of suspended animation, nobody but Vader could possibly guard him effectively and Vader's got an empire to terrorize!<br />
Didn't they say they were putting Han in there to test the equipment?<br />
