Not good, but it's entertaining. More so for me I went to the theater with my best buddy to watch it back in 1981! Due to a mix up, we got there late. Really late, like we missed the first 20-30 minutes, maybe more. At first we thought we had missed only the first 10 minutes or so.
I had to wait 34 years to watch it in full.

It's okay. Sometimes fun; sluggish in parts. The acting is mostly lame, and it lacks the humour one usually associates with Cronenberg's filmmaking. The special effects are enjoyably gruesome. But overall there are many better Cronenberg films and many better 80s horror/sci-fi films period.

It has a few boring bits but yeah, it's definitely worth seeing.

This film is quite decent. So is SCANNER COP and its sequel sometimes known as SCANNERS: THE SHOWDOWN.
I have not seen 2 or 3 yet, but I may check them out soon.

I personally love this movie! If you aren't interested in the story than you may find it boring. I love the whole concept and story. It's flawed but isn't everything?
