Danny seeing the Grady twins in the hallway.
This iconic scene gave me nightmares when I was younger. The scene is preceded by scenes of Danny riding his big wheel through the long ominous hallways of the empty hotel. Those scenes are scary too. You never know what's going to be around the next corner.

The ballroom scene.
Jack walks into the ballroom while there's a party circa 1920s going on - WTF!? It's a fascinating scene that gets more intriguing with repeated viewings, e.g., an old lady seated at a table is eyeing Jack as he walks into the room and she looks a lot like the corpse in the bathtub in Room 237. Another woman, who walks beside Jack, has a bloody hand print on her dress. Who is she? Oh, and then Jack bumps into a waiter named Delbert Grady…

Wendy seeing ghosts.
An elevator filled with blood! Skeletons in the ballroom! A man in a bear costume giving a blowjob to another man! Wendy's final tour of the Overlook is like an amusement park haunted house - only a very frightening and realistic one! She's finally seeing the apparitions that have been there all along but that only Danny and Jack were able to see. The look of sheer terror on Wendy's face is what puts this scene over the top and makes it convincing.

"Shelly Duvall fending off Jack with the baseball bat"
———————————–
Oh, That Entire Scene (from the moment when she finds all of the pages saying
"All Work and No Play Makes Jack a Dull Boy"
to when she hits Jack with the bat and knocks him downstairs) was Great.

None. I found the movie slow and boring. No gore. No nudity to speak of. Only that overrated nicholson.
