First, they aren't making a remake of this film I don't think. But if they ever did it would be awesome for the Hotel used for the film to be
Disneys Grand Floridian. Yes I know it would probably never happen, but I always think of that Hotel and the one in the Mini-Series.

Mohonk Mountain House. King has stayed there in the past. Mentioned in one of his later books.
It overlooks the Catskills.
