One of the sexiest machines ever created by man.
I was only ten when I first saw this movie and had never heard of or seen one before and it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen, it was like someone turned Darth Vader into a car lol.

My fav car too However, I doubt I'd ever want to own one. They don't have A/C, and I hate the heat. I'll just stick to diecast versions.

Yes, of course the wings will slow it down, the wings are there to help the wind push the car down on the ground, for added traction. That means it won't go as fast, but will handle better.

I remember a "Car and Driver" review of the Countach they did in '86. They clocked at a fastbut very mortal150 mph. And the rear wing actually slowed down the vehicle by ~10 mph!!
But it'll always look like it could do 220!! LOL

I had a mag about suped up Contach's with turbo and super chargers. I think they could take fifth gear a notch higher.
p.s. the Lambo in the film, if I understand correctly, was owned by some doctor. I'm guessing a Hollywood plastic surgeon, but I don't really know.

Funny though. The Countach was sexy, but a "supercar" of the Eighties, and hardly a "race car" though! And it sure wasn't hitting 220 MPH! It might bounce off of 180-190, but that extra 30MPH takes a ton more power to get to 220!
Funny of the writers to give it that much credit just for it's shape!

Lambourghinis are beautiful machines. I would choose one over a Ferrari any day of the week. Though the Gallardo was missing something when they decided to put (almost) normal doors on it instead of the straight up wings.
