Hell of the Living Dead
Love 'em both though.

I gotta go with Nightmare City on this one.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

I prefer Nightmare City, I have the 2 pack of this and without saying both are B movie schlock, Hell of the Living Dead is really frustrating to watch, were NC becomes fun and entertaining.

Nightmare City's no masterpiece, but Nightmare City.
Hell of the Living Dead is so ludicrously awful (and, not for nothing, hilarious) that its very existence seems like some kind of mistake.

Oh God, Hell was more hilarious (unintentionally of course), though both were very funny. Nightmare has more of a real plot and was more of a straight horror film and a decent hero. Both films had amazingly stupid leading ladies, and tons of gore (Hell was gorier). The zombies in Hell were so non-threatening at times that the characters had to almost literally throw themselves at them and stand still to make them threatening, at least in nightmare Cit the zombies could run and were smart to a degree.
Both films should be on How Did This Get Made or one of the two MST3K offshoots.

Tough call.

Nightmare City.
I love both movies but I think Nightmare City is more satisfying.
Hell has the better ending, by far, though.

Nightmare City. The Disco dancing alone leaves the other movie in the dust.

Nightmare City is defiantly the better of the two movies and it isn't great, but I did like the ending to Hell much better and the whole population control aspect.

Nightmare City all the way. It's like my worst nightmares come to life, pseudo zombie people RUNNING around and SHOOTING/STABBING any and everybody. Oh yeah and I actually happen to enjoy the "twist" ending.

Nightmare city. It had much better pacing and a television that explodes when thrown at someone.

.. my biggest peeve was all the zombies had weapons. Roaming around the Italian countryside, they just happened to find hatches and knives and stuff. Yeesh. Lame.
Hell of the Living Dead
wasn't much better, but at least the gore was a little. They're both pretty crappy zombie flicks though. But I had to force myself to sit through
Nightmare City
. Some whiskey might've helped that.

HOTLD doesn't have a lame "it was all a dreamor was it?" ending, so I'll go with HOTLD.

I love them all.

Someone should splice them together and make one big one.
Nightmare City was better but I liked the eyeball scene at the end of Hell of the Living Dead
