They're both anchor bay releases, but I just want to make sure the one in the combo release is the same one as the single release. Also, isn't it a bit wierd that the combo release is cheaper than the HOTLD single release by a buck or 2?
Is Rats really bad enough to lower the value of HOTLD when packaged with it?

I own that Anchor Bay double feature DVD. Two deliciously drecky movies for the price of one. Talk about a real bargain!
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

Watched them both. I did hear HELL ripped off
Dawn of the Dead
, and the same music, wow. This one I actually think was better than RATS.

The DVD came in. I also got a lot of other titles so I don't know when I'll get around to this double feature. I kina wanna watch "RATS" first actually. I remember first reading about that film years ago on Upcoming Horror Movies.

Neither movie is good on an aesthetic, however as crappy b-movies go theyre both awesome.
Even with RATS extremely dumb twist ending, you can see it coming.
Both are pure comedy gold though.

I ordered the double feature last Friday, and am still waiting for it to come in. I hope soon, I'm told this is a good film.

I've got both the single disk and the Rats/Hell flipper from Anchor Bay and there's no difference in the two.

From a critical standpoint, both movies are pure garbage.
HOWEVER, in terms of entertainment value, Rats: Night of Terror and Hell of the Living Dead are two fantastic examples of the "so-bad-it's-good" subgenre. Though they are both hilariously bad, I personally found rats to be far more entertaining. The 2 pack is well worth picking up; one of the highlights of my collection.

I purchased the value pack used from Amazon marketplace for approximately $3.99. It was well worth it. 'Rats' is one of those films that was so incredibly inept and insane that it became amusing. It is along the same lines as 'HOTLD', 'Burial Ground', and 'Nightmare City'. I say buy the value pack- that way you get two super cheesy, top-notch, over-the-top Z-grade trash films for one low price
